Fuel a Child’s Imagination: Donate Today
The Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program has delivered hundreds of millions of books to preschool children nationwide. While the national foundation provides bulk purchasing power and infrastructure, local communities fund the actual books.
Here in El Paso and Teller Counties, the Imagination Library of the Pikes Peak Region ensures our youngest neighbors receive a brand-new, high-quality book in their mailbox every month.
Double Your Impact in Colorado
We are incredibly fortunate that the State of Colorado matches local efforts by covering approximately half the cost of the program. Because of this state backing, your dollar goes twice as far:
- $12.50 funds a full year of books for 1 child
- $50 funds a full year of books for 4 children
- $100 funds a full year of books for 8 children
The Challenge We Face
- We currently have about 9,000 local children enrolled in our region, about 20% of children who are eligible in this area. To keep books arriving on schedule for those currently enrolled, our local affiliate needs to raise nearly $10,000 every single month. And we’d like to continue expanding the program to reach more eligible children!
- Whether you are a parent, grandparent, local business, or community foundation, we need your help to keep our community reading.
